I’ve always had Baby Names and Conception. I’m a frequent user of Baby Names so use that link often, and it was always right next to Conception and I’d often click there by accident! Don’t think Secondary Education or Christmas were there.

You might be right actually. But on second thoughts I'm struggling to think what parenting is so maybe its that one that wasn't there. Either way, I used the feminism link

Hi folks - and apologies @NevieSticks I misinterpreted your question. The topics you see in the top list are updated periodically based on what is most popular at the time - it's not a fixed list. It may only be September (ish) but the Christmas board is now getting very busy!

The FWR topic has never not been on that list in the two years I’ve been accessing it.

As mumsnet says it's not A fixed list but one that's based on members usage and can fluctuate as and when

Flipping baby names overload - why can people not decide anything on their own now?

Because people might want to discuss names... Not sure why getting more opinions on and discussing names is an inability to decide. Most people don't know every name that exists and and cultural associations with different names. It's not an overload; the link has always been there since I've been on the site and you can always block the topic if it bores you. Do you feel the same about Style and Beauty (people can decide which trousers to buy on their own)? Or property, because people should know if they want to move or extend without discussing it? Maybe AIBU should close because people can decide if they are unreasonable or not by themselves...

There are only 239 shopping days left until Christmas! It is surprisingly active over there now with impressively organised people - even so, that does seem a bit early to be in the top list. We'll take a look into this.

Of course, but that's not the point, the Top Talk topic shortcuts isn't doing what it says. Christmas is not currently as busy as FWR.

There is room for the FWR link even without removing "Christmas" or anything else by the looks of it as there is a blank space under "secondary education".
