Site update - Imagery on threads

Earlier today we made some changes to the way images display on threads:

• We’ve increased the number of images you can upload from 3 to 5
• We’ve changed the way they display on the site to make them more prominent
• The layout of the images changes depending on how many you’ve uploaded and whether the first image is portrait, landscape or square
• The way you upload images hasn’t changed

Still shit on the android app, but given that @MNHQ never respond to anything about the android app and how shite it is I'm sure they don't care

Well that explains why the site has been an absolute pita all afternoon. Kept refreshing to a blank white background until I scrolled up/down then thread titles suddenly appeared. Unless that's a different problem.

Anyway, off to the littertray to look at cute kitty pictures 😂

I can't click on no.4 or 5 to enlarge them! And no 4 is a long thin strip, not sure if that's intended...

@AllLopsided sorry to hear you're having issues with photos on the iOS app.

We're aware that the 4th image on posts is looking a bit squashed (it isn't intended!) and we're looking into fixing it as we speak.

We haven't been able to recreate the problem you're having where you can't open 4th and 5th images. Would you be able to share with us what device you're using to access the app, what iOS version you're using and which version of the app you're on?

You can check the version of the app by opening it and selecting the menu in the top right hand corner of the screen. The version number should then pop up at the bottom of the screen.

We're really sorry we haven't been able to help in the past.
Can you please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app? This updates it to the latest version. We're definitely looking at improving both of our apps in future.

I'm on an iPad pro from 2016 on iOS 15.7. I'm mentioning the iPad provenance because the MN relaunch earlier this year rendered the app unusable for 'older' iPads for a while... just in case this is relevant.

The MN App version is 44.17.

Further info re the images in case it's useful - if I click on image 1, 2 or 3, that image enlarges and I can then scroll through all the images in order, including 4 & 5. However if I click on image 4 or 5 on your post nothing happens.
