Consent pop-up appears at every page change

I keep getting the attached consent pop-up. It happens when I move from thread to thread and not even just a new session. I had to accept it five times to just get to this point after having closed down the browser in an attempt to clear it and then starting again.
I am using Safari on an iPhone using iOS 16.

P.a the pop-up appeared again when I hit ‘post’. So very very annoying!

Same for me these past few days. So annoying.

TitInATrance · 21/09/2022 22:22

Same here, except I’m on iPad. Every fourth or fifth try I get a box with a proper code fail error message (transaction abended, garbage letters and numbers)

Changingmynameyetagain · 21/09/2022 22:23

Me too! It’s getting very tedious now.

GordonShakespearedoesChristmas · 21/09/2022 22:24

I switched to the App... not as good imo but no consent pop up!

invisibleoldwoman · 21/09/2022 22:25

Same here. Every time I even open the next page on a thread. On all devices, browsers and operating systems. But I’ve just realised it has stopped today.

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 21/09/2022 22:26

This was happening to me for a while. There was a post on here that told you how to fix it. The post will be in site stuff. It was something to do with the phone settings.

Hi OP

Could you all try refreshing your page or opening Mumsnet in a new tab? This should sort it out for you. If you’re still having issues, can you please try clearing your Mumsnet cookies following the instructions below for your browser:

iPhone & iPad - Chrome
On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app
At the bottom right, tap More â‹® > Settings
Tap Privacy > Clear Browsing Data.
Tick Cookies, Site Data. Untick the other items.
Tap Clear Browsing Data > Clear Browsing Data.
Tap Done

Macbook - Safari
Open Safari
Go to the Safari dropdown at the top of the screen
Select Preferences
Head to the Privacy section
Select the Manage Website Data... button
Type Mumsnet into the search box
Click Mumsnet
Select the Remove button
Select Done

iPhone & iPad - Safari
Navigate to your settings
Click on Safari
Scroll to the bottom and choose Advanced
Click on Website Data
Type Mumsnet into the search box
Swipe left on ‘Mumsnet’ and choose ‘Delete’

If you're still having any issues after this, please let us know. Any screenshots you can share would also be greatly appreciated!

Thank you. Yes that seems to have worked for me.

I am having the same issue. Tried the above two days ago and it worked but now it’s happening again. Am I going to have to clear my cookies every couple of days?

Hello!

We're releasing a temporary fix today - you'll be asked once to accept cookies but that will be it. Thanks so much for your patience here.
