Hello
You know best but here it goes.
This is a mainly mums site but a good one for all that have kids, grandkids etc and good chat/advice/help/etc.

I posted about my BiL naming their dog after me to take the p and many assumed I was a female.
I bet you there are many men here that pretend to be female/etc

Though it should not matter I've noted that I often have different views/experiences to that of women

My suggestion is how about having a logo/sign saying one is female/male or not want to disclose when you post ie in or with your avatar?

Thanks

ps - when I signed up I should have used in my forum name "Mr" Raul57, but can't change my name.

One, you can change name on here.

Two, we don't have avatars.

Three, no need to declare your sex unless it's relevant.

Hello!

You can change your username by going to the 'my mumsnet' at the top of the page. If you're having issues namechanging, please can you send an email over to [email protected]? We'd be happy to look into this for you.

We promote our site as being 'by parents, for parents' and we'd very much hope that included all parents. (It was just that, when we were choosing a name for the site, 'Parentsnet' didn't really trip off the tongue in the same kind of way.)
And, actually, we do have a fair few members who are not parents at all, either because they are pregnant or hoping to become pregnant soon or because, like you, they are interested in our discussions and wish to reflect their own viewpoint.

We welcome your contributions to our discussions and if you ever need a hand navigating the site, you know where we are!

Avatars! I really don't think so. This isn't Netmums.

Update
Lol's!
So easy, thanks - but I've changed the whole name as older and wiser and people at work started to come to me from about the age of 25 for advice/guidance/etc. Yes, I'm a self appointed helper but TBH learning something new every day.

Thanks again
