MNHQ: The black banners need to go now!

Google changed theirs back to coloured on the stroke of midnight. The official mourning period is over. It looks tacky and unprofessional to carry on past the mourning period.

(I am not coming from an anti- monarchist / anti MN funeral threads pov, but enough is enough, and it actually seems a bit disrespectful to persist beyond the RF protocol)

I agree. Enough is enough.

MrsSkylerWhite · 20/09/2022 09:46

Hadn’t noticed 😁

Onestepforwards2back · 20/09/2022 09:46

i agree

Wanda616 · 20/09/2022 09:46

Jeez give them a chance, they're a much smaller operation than Google and its not even an hour into the standard working day in the UK.

Gooseysgirl · 20/09/2022 09:47

Yes I agree.. and please can we cheerful music back on the radio!!

vodkaredbullgirl · 20/09/2022 09:47

Maybe they have not had time to do it yet.

DillDanding · 20/09/2022 09:47

I agree too.

Totally inappropriate now. My work website also went back to normal at midnight.

Back to normal now please!

etulosba · 20/09/2022 09:50

Hadn’t noticed 😁

I’ve got used to them and rather like them.

We had normal music for most of the time here - I wasn't sure, as was only catching snippets. But then one day I turned the car and Since U Been Gone blared out and I figured that probably wasn't funereal Grin

Morning all. Thanks for raising this - as you've probably now noticed, we're back to the usual Mumsnet blue. Smile

gamerchick · 20/09/2022 10:11

What black banners? Couldn't imagine caring about stuff like that.

Donenow1 · 20/09/2022 10:17

Absolutely the right decision to get back to normal. I admin a Facebook group. We've acknowledged the Queens passing and her funeral but that's it. We're not a Royal Family group and now things as far as we are concerned from today are back to normal x

TheChippendenSpook · 20/09/2022 10:39

I preferred it Grin

SuperCamp · 20/09/2022 12:15

Thanks, MNHQ!
