Damn Consent request ALL THE TIME

I am getting really fed up with having to click the blasted ‘Consent’ button every single time I open a thread, frequently followed by a ‘Access refused’ banner.
What on earth is going on!?
I have reported it with no response and I know I am not the only one having this problem.
It’s on the desktop site, using Safari.
Getting really infuriating 🤬😡

On laptops using Firefox it comes up condensed so I can't even get in as the bitton doesn't show. Works on Chrome - don't want to use Chrome. In there now, second time I've logged in, and this time no pop-up.

Thanks for getting in touch. This is something that has been affecting a few users. We’ve changed our Consent Management Platform to one which allows you to “reject all” cookies rather than having to go through them one by one. For a small number of users this has resulted in them being asked to consent on every page they visit. Please follow the instructions below and the consent pop up should stop appearing once you've reselected your preferences.

Open your Safari preferences
Click ‘Privacy’
Click ‘Manage Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Click on ‘Mumsnet.com’ and choose ‘Remove’
Click ‘Done'

For anyone else using other browesers or different devices, there's lots of info on this thread about how to do the same.

It would also be worth updating your browser to the latest version as we think that may also be a contributing factor.

Let us know how you get on and if you have any further problems do just drop us another line here.
