Freckle, if you go to the Topic Choice page, you should see a section headed "special needs topic" where you can select whether to include the SN board in your active conversations.

Sorry that appears to have been me being a numpty .. because I was looking for them by alphabetical name but they're actually listed by the 'group name' you give them first which one only sees in the topic list
