Is there a way to search for all your old threads?

Just that really. I asked a question on a thread that I can't remember the answer to and want to look it up but I have obviously had a few name changes over the years. How do I find the old threads?! Thanks

Hi @marrymeadam - thanks for asking this. We'll try to talk you through it!

First of all, which version of the site are you using? And was it a thread you posted on or one that you started?

If you're using the desktop site, you should be able to see a line of options underneath the big blue Talk menu - including Active, I'm On, I'm Watching and I Started.

On the mobile site you can either click on the three horizontal lines in the top left of the page, choose Talk and then tap on I Started, or you can go to the blue bar at the foot of any page, tap on I'm On and then select I Started from the menu that pops up.

The iPhone app has a list of threads I'm On (well, threads You're On...) at the foot of any page in Talk.

I think you've completely misunderstood the question.
Have you tried searching for anything recently?
It's beyond rubbish. now. Since the change /update. Its so poor, its staggering. You must know this. There have been numerous complaints.

I am normally on the app on my i-phone. There is no search function at all.
If I log onto the website on my computer, I can search, but it brings up nothing meaningfull.

Eg today. I searched for the word Rutland. I know this has been used 50 times, in 2021-22, on the further education threads I am on for possible uni accomodation. I have typed it myself, and 10 other posters? typed it, in the last year. But here is nothing. No link to me, no link to the further education threads. Nothing.

Could you please suggest a solution.

Please can you answer my question too.
I can't find stuff I've posted before. Today again I searched for posts I've posted on further education threads in the last 6 months. I posted the words marathon. and Rutland. But it can not find either.

The search function is useless. I have tried to find old threads I posted on for similar reasons, OP, and it is impossible now with the "improvements." I think that MN wanted to reduce the ability to search but they won't admit that.

Sorry - we missed your post!

We're finishing up on creating a new and much more efficient search now.
It shouldn't be much longer and we've just been running some testing with it. Please do continue to bear with us, we'll post as soon as there's an update.
