Abbie is reactivating zombie threads

Theres a user abbie something reactivating loads of zombie threads, they're all over active threads, very annoying

I've found at least 6 threads so far on active she has reactivated

There are loads of zombie threads this morning, very frustrating, I assumed it was a glitch.

I've reported all the ones I've found.

@MichaelMumsnet would you consider a blanket rule on all threads where once a thread reaches X age (5/10) that the ability to comment is then removed? Why do some threads have a message to say the thread is shut and to start a new one, and others are free to be opened? Half of the thread on my active tab this morning are from 2007!

I've seen other usernames re activating them too, weirdly they are all from 2007?

Would it not be sensible to just automatically lock theads to new posts after a certain length of time. No one need to post on threads from 2007.

Agree old threads should be locked. Too easy to disrupt the site this way.

Now can all the 2007 threads be taken out of active please

Hi everyone - there has been a very tedious troll around this morning and we've done our best to chase them off as well as closing the zombie threads in question. As always, please do report any problem threads or posters to us - we're always happy to take a look and sort things out.
