I can’t access any threads, just get this message.

I've kept getting this as well this morning, or a gateway error - nothing on twitter saying the site was down though. I checked on a down detector site and they said it was down for everyone.

I think the server needed more than a strong cuppa! Was down for ages.

Mine was down for about 90 mins. Finally up now

I couldn't get even as far as this message, it just hung.

Mumsnet, if your server is down it would be really helpful if you could put something on Twitter or FB.

Or Instagram!

Yes, all morning since about 6am til now. The one morning I had time to lie and browse and was looking forward to it! Tried the website who's gateway error message confirmed it was mumsnet server issue. Didn't even get a message on the app - it just accused me of having no internet signal.

That message about needing a strong cuppa pisses me right off.

Speaking as a professional web tech, the site may benefit from a load test.

Couldn't t get on at all a while ago. The it said add message even though there was a messag in the box. . But did post it after a couple of tries.

What’s wrong with the site? It is incredibly slow and glitchy, it basically doesn’t work very well at all and often it doesn’t actually work at all.

At one point I got a Cloudflare error message about DDOS, so potentially an external attack on MN

I agree. I loathe cutesie error messages. Just a statement of fact is fine.

Is the upgrade still causing issues? I am certainly still finding that if I leave a MN thread open on a tab on my laptop and come back to it hours later it won't refresh. I have to close that tab down and open a new one. I also find adding a reply to a very long thread is slow and using Ctrl Home doesn't get me to the top of the thread. If the new MN software is unable to cope with long threads, surely they should be looking at changing the maximum number of posts per thread? 1000 is probably excessive anyway.

The cutsie message is irritating.
It's really frustrating to write a detailed, researched weather post then have the site crash. I ended up having to write in note pad and then c/p when the site was working properly again.

I’d agree ,,”making it a cuppa” Is unpleasantly stereotypical. Just say the site is down and we are fixing it now. We are all grown ups here.
