Voting?? Am I being thick?

I'm using the MN app and I keep seeing people say they 'voted' particularly on AIBU. Am I being thick? Is there an actual vote function and I can't see it? Or is it just a figure of speech?
If there is a voting option, can someone explain where it is (maybe give a screenshot)?
