So many food grocery recipe delivery links on promos

I know it's the promos and that's what it's true for, but it's very annoying to see 6 hello fresh 'offers' and 13 for gousto

I've juat hidden the Promo board for this reason

I know, it used to be a great source for codes but I rarely look now as it’s hellogoustotastic. Puts me off trying those schemes as well because I assume the companies will be ones with heavy direct marketing.

Hi I add referral codes when I get them to the promo topic as I hope it helps someone, they really help me - I’m a single mum & cost of living is ridiculous. Personally I’m always happy for a free/reduced meal!

I have nothing against the odd post, but have you seen how many 'free gousto' posts there are already? there are loads

And dont forget, you get something if someone uses your link, its not completely altruistic

Hi again, everyone. Thanks for flagging this.

We've been through the Food and Recipes board and zapped all those promotional threads above as well as a few more we found on the first page.

We can see there's an awful lot of it in the Promotional Codes board too, so we're just keeping an eye on that for now. That is, at least, the correct place for them, and it does look like people are finding them helpful for the moment. As we say though, we'll monitor the situation and see if a bit of a tidy up is in order at some point.

If you spot any more of these types of threads outside of the Promotional Codes board though, please do paste them here or just hit the report button and let us know and we can take them down.

My thread complaining about this has been zapped. Assume because people then came on and spammed it with links?

How do you hide the whole section?

Going to have to Hide the whole section, which for a site that needs ad revenue seems a bit counterproductive! I like a good promo as much as the next person but GoustoGoustGoustoGousto popping up every 5 threads in Active is really irritating.
I will never try Gousto now, just so Gousto knows

I don't use them as I have wsyyyy too many dietary restrictions for it to work, but there are plenty of posters benefitting from the discount codes. I don't think it's very nice to try to get them all zapped just because you are fed up of seeing them!

So why don't they keep them to one or 2 threads???

It’s the wording that makes them seem suss, so enthusiastic and detailed in their explanation. I get that the person posting benefits when someone uses the link so they have an incentive to promote but they are everywhere.

There is 1 now in Credit Crunch 🙄
