Pop up ad asking for my location

I just experienced a full page pop up ad asking for my location. I selected 'block' but it then popped up a map with my location on it, along with an ad at the bottom for Zeiss. This is pretty alarming to me!

Hello @ChairOfInvisibleStudies thanks for posting. Could you please let us know what device and browser you're using?

If you could also capture a screenshot of the pop up if you see it again along with the URL of the page it's showing on, that will help us sort it out.

It's a Google pixel using Chrome.

Thank you, @ChairOfInvisibleStudies. We'll take a look.

Hi there @ChairOfInvisibleStudies

If possible, next time you see this, could you get a screenshot of the ad or describe what is on it? Once we can locate the ad we can find out where that link is leading to and block it.

The ad was a picture of a Google maps map with my location pinpointed and some other markers nearby. In the bottom left a button that said 'go to website' and in the bottom right the Zeiss logo. When it appeared I also had a system popup that said something like 'www.mumsnet.com is asking you to share your location' with options to block or allow.

Thank you!
If you see it again, a link directly to the advert would be very useful in locating and blocking it. You can turn wifi/data off when you click the link so that the url loads without loading you to the webpage. Flowers
