Ive tried to google for the answer but there are a lot of different answers none of which I understand if Im honest.

I can see a search bar right at the top of the screen but some of the google answers refer to an 'advanced' search, I cant see for the life of me where that is.

OP posts:

Hi @bellac11 - we're in the process of re-developing the Advanced Search function - results will be relevant and more like the site prior to transformation. It's a big job but do bear with us - it's very high on the list!

In the meantime, if you're using the desktop site, click on the search box at the top of the page and type the username you want to search, with an @ at the start - filters come up on the left hand side to help you refine the search.

Hope that helps but please let us know if you need any further assistance.

On a desktop you have the option 'I started' and all your posts should be there. If you have the app on a phone try going into safari and opening the actual website mumsnet.

bluegardenflowers · 19/07/2022 10:58

I started, is not on the app

That's for your threads though - not your posts.

Unfortunately there's no easy way to search for your own posts, beyond the general search by user which is very poor.

Amen to that. Very happy you are trying to reinstate it. The current search function is well .... not working.

On desktop you can search 'I'm on' and it will show all the posts you've commented on and goes directly to your post with further posts from others after it. is that what you want?

bluegardenflowers · 19/07/2022 11:36

I've just done it to locate my post her lol

Mumoftwo0228 · 17/06/2023 10:13

I've written two posts so far, but when I check for them I can't find them. I've also seen on the desktop site that it's saying that I have no posts. However, when I click post it says that I've posted the thread. This is confusing me a little. Does anyone know what's going on?

It's saying you've no threads, I imagine. Not no posts.

There's no way to see all your posts.

You can go to Threads I'm On or Threads I've Started, and from there see your own posts in a different colour - but you still have to scroll to do that.

Octosaurus · 27/08/2023 10:59

Bump to this. When I go to "I'm on" it shows the threads I've commented on but takes me to the very start of the post so I have to scroll alllll the way down to find my own comments.... hellllp

What are you trying to do?

If you go to 'I'm on' you'll be taken to either the start, or your last bookmark.

You can't go to your own posts.

If you are a Premium user, you can use the feature to filter posts by user, including yourself.

Hi @Octosaurus - what you've described is how 'I'm On' works for everyone, in that it takes you to the opening post of the thread. I

f you want to be taken to your own post on the thread, you can always hit 'Bookmark' on your own message after you've posted.

EarringsandLipstick · 28/08/2023 22:14

f you want to be taken to your own post on the thread, you can always hit 'Bookmark' on your own message after you've posted.

Which of course only works if you post once only - if you post a few times, you can only bookmark one post.
