I agree. Really fucking irritating when they just go poof and you're trying to find the damn thing

MichaelMumsnet · 05/07/2022 07:54

Hi @MrsLargeEmbodied Apologies for the vanishing thread. We're working on displaying deletion messages. In the meantime, we're trying to post on threads before they're deleted to let people know the reason - but if you have any queries about deleted threads then feel free to email us and we'll let you know the reason for deletion.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 05/07/2022 08:05

thank you

That's fine if posters are active on the thread when it's about to be deleted. However, it doesn't help the OP and others who come back and find a thread has disappeared, as they have no idea if it's actually been deleted or if it's just that they can't find it with the appalling search funtion.

function

WinterMusings · 05/07/2022 08:16

@MichaelMumsnet

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, can MN leave the title of the thread that's been deleted. a random deletion message helps no one.

any progress on the lack of capitalisation at the start of a new paragraph?? New sentences within the paragraphs has been fixed!

thanks

SoupDragon · 05/07/2022 11:13

I'm curious as to why they have to "work on" things that we always used to have.

JaneJeffer · 05/07/2022 17:10

When it's fixed will we be able to see all the messages we've missed out on?

That's a good question - we'll find out!

HebeMumsnet · 06/07/2022 12:28

Hi JaneJeffer. Yes - you should be able to see those once it's fixed. One step at a time, obviously, but when it is fixed, let us know how you get on and if they then appear.

JaneJeffer · 06/07/2022 12:49

Thanks @HebeMumsnet
