Pages keep freezing

I'm on a Samsung phone using chrome not the app.
A page will suddenly freeze or if I scroll quickly, the page goes blank. I can wait up to several minutes for it to unfreeze or, alternatively, I have to close the site down. My phones quite fast and it isn't happening on any other site. I can flip between sites quite easily without any delay whatsoever. It just happens on MN.
Is it just my phone or is anyone else having similar problems?

Me too, using Google Chrome on Android. It's making pages unusable!!

Thanks for getting in touch. We think this is the same issue that has been causing crashes on the site for the last little while. We think we've got to the bottom of the problem, which is likely a memory leak, but we're still working on a fix at the moment. We do know it's been a big problem for lots of users so we're working on it as a priority and will put an announcement in Site Stuff when it's fixed.

In the meantime, there are a couple of things you can do that might help.

Firstly, try following the instructions here: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95669?hl=en-GB&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop (obviously this is just for Chrome users but it seems to be helping there).

Secondly, could you check how many posts you're viewing per page? If it's set to view 1,000 per page, you can try changing it to fewer posts per page. That also seems to be a useful workaround for now.
