Pictures not closing

Not sure if it is just me but I can't close the enlarged view of photos using the little x, I have to press the back button which then takes me out of the whole thread.
It has only started happening this evening - is anyone else having this issue?

Sorry for the delayed response, I'm using chrome on an android phone (Samsung if that might make a difference?).
I have a suspicion it might be because of adverts behind the pictures as I can't scroll past if I touch a certain part of the video ads, I have to be touching the active video part to move the screen. Thanks 😊

I should add that the scrolling past ad thing happens with similar ads on other websites so not a mumsnet exclusive issue.

Are you able to grab a screen recording of this for us? Just tried to replicate on chrome but no luck.
