Search function

Is there any way to search on a username? It LOOKS as though you can, but I haven't found a combo which works yet. If I fill in 'find username' & try to search with the top box empty, nothing happens. If I then fill in the top box, it puts that text in the find username box.

How is this supposed to work, or does it not work at all?

The new search is SO poor. It’s unbelievable how an apparent upgrade could’ve made so much of the site worse.

I have just been trying to find the Advanced Search and couldn't see it anywhere. has that now been done away with?

Hi all, we're really sorry about the frustration caused by the search function since the platform relaunch. We know it's far from ideal at the moment, but the good news is we're currently working on the fix and we estimate it's a few weeks away from launch.

In case this helps anyone else, I've found that you can search on username by ignoring that field & just typing the username in the main search box. Don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but it's worked for me yesterday & today.
