Pages not loading and scroll bar vanishing randomly

I'm not sure if this is a site issue or my laptop but since the changes if I leave a page open to return to later it has to all intents and purposes just gone. Refresh doesn't bring it back, I get a message to wait or leave. Waiting doesn't work so I have to leave, and then lose my place.It was fine before the change.

Scroll bar is usually there but sometimes it is not. I open a thread and wait for it to load, no scroll bar appears. I refresh the page and it appears. This happened before the change also. It has not once happened on any other site. I have checked many sites, it is just this one.

I am using Chrome, laptop, Windows 10 etc...

I have just changed browser as Chrome refused to load the site at all. Would be nice to be able to use Chrome though...

We've been having some server issues with the site - do you think they could have been related or has this been happening for longer than a week or so?

The missing scroll bar has been happening intermittently since the new platform switchover. For me, it began to worsen noticeably approx 3-4 days ago.

The missing scroll bar seems to particularly affect page 1 of a thread.

Apologies I didn't realised you had replied.
Missing scrollbar has been on and off for several months, I updated Chrome each time there was an update but it didn't resolve. Refreshing the page tends to make it appear.

Getting back to a thread I have left idle is still not working on either Chrome or the Microsoft shite browser that I avoid whenever possible. I have lost interest by the time I get the page back and often give up and just don't bother.

@September29th thanks for the info. Could you please check that it isn't a Chrome extension hiding the scroll bar?

Please type chrome://extensions/ in the address bar. This should show you a list of all extensions on your browser. Toggle them off, then close down and restart Chrome.

If this solves the problem, then you could turn your extensions back on one by one to see which one was affecting the scroll bar.

If this doesn't solve the problem, let us know.

I am no longer using Chrome for MN due to the problem. I am using the Microsoft browser.
I am almost out of patience with it. I have no extensions on the browser, the site will not load if I go off and leave it and come back. The page is still as I left it but frozen. Refresh tells me it hasn't loaded, as if I don't already know.

I know Windows 10 is absolute shite but this site isn't any better these days.
