Could Scotsnet have some sub-boards please? It is being taken over by property threads and holiday threads - both usually by those from outside of Scotland wanting to move or visit here - and its hard to see threads on topics that are of interest to those already living here.
So can Scotsnet have sub threads for Scottish property and Scottish holidays please? So the main board can get back to 'normal'? I'm sick of scrolling through threads to find what I'm looking for and I've noticed many of the Scotsnet regulars disappearing - maybe they are as fed up as I am.
It feels like we havee now 'lost' our board :(
And I'm the one who asked for that board years ago (under a different username) and made it happen :(

Amen to that

Hi, does anyone have any advice on Roswell and Roslin in edinburgh. We are thinking of moving there and would like some information on nurseries, primary and high schools and what it’s like to live there.

Thanks so much

Escapefromcolditz · 03/02/2023 14:27

Agree with OP

LilyMumsnet · 03/02/2023 16:37

Hi OP

Thanks so much for the suggestion - we'll have a chat about this. Flowers

Invisimamma · 03/02/2023 16:44

I agree, every second thread is explaining the school system and giving advice on areas to someone who is relocating to Scotland.

that post is hilarious, and I wonder if deliberate or accidental??

ReikiG · 20/02/2023 11:59

I know it's another 'one' of those posts but would really appreciate any help and local knowledge 😊My son was born Oct2008 we are hoping to move to Perth by August. I think he will be unable to defer so would need to go into S4? Any areas /schools to avoid please?

HebeMumsnet · 20/02/2023 12:22

@ReikiG Probably best to start a thread on Scotsnet itself about this. Site Stuff is more for general issues about the site, so you'll get more targeted advice over there.

Rae36 · 20/02/2023 12:25

I agree, I would definitely support this. I don't look at Scotsnet very often any more for this reason. It's not really about people living in Scotland any more.

ReikiG · 20/02/2023 12:30

Bananas I thought I posted on scotsnet! Thanks

ReikiG · 20/02/2023 12:32

Thanks will do I often help people on my local post about advice moving to my area as any local advice is better than Google searches 😊

Pringleface · 20/02/2023 13:26

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT INVERNESS IS LIKE? WHATS IT LIKE TO LIVE THERE.

Npinkberry · 20/02/2023 15:20

I thought I had posted on Scotsnet also - apologies

Redglitter · 20/02/2023 15:54

I think that's a great idea. Anything other than area/school advice gets lost

SlaveToTheVibe · 20/02/2023 18:41

Will my English kids get beaten up in Glasgow

do you have shops in Scotland like Waitrose

can anybody recommend a rip public school in Edinburgh

BLAH BLAH BLAH

janeseymour78 · 20/02/2023 18:47

Speaking as a Scot I agree 100%

ReikiG · 20/02/2023 21:54

Wow great Scottish humour 😊. My post was not like that?! Just needed info? Cannot beat local knowledge I know ayrshire well as my husbands family live there but they don't know about the school system. If anyone wanted local knowledge or info where I live I would be happy to and have helped. Does be kind not apply across the boarder 🤔😉

abyssofwoah · 20/02/2023 21:58

Great suggestion. I hope mumsnet take this idea forward

Shimmyshimmycocobop · 20/02/2023 21:59

@ReikiG but why would you come on to a post bemoaning the amount of those kind of posts filling up Scotsnet. Just start your own thread ...unless you're trolling us.

ReikiG · 20/02/2023 22:01

I am not trolling 😊.I posted a thread incorrectly this morning and then there are these comments so obvs they are directed at me as I started the thread or am I mis reading?
