How to search by poster

Since the site has changed I am struggling to look up threads by username. I used to use advanced search but using the normal search at the top of the page doesn't always work for me and advanced search seems to have disappeared. Is there anything that I am missing? Thank you 😀

Nope MN sucks now. That fact that they’re still pissfarting around with bugs weeks and weeks after the new platform launched says it all

No the search function has gone to slime, completely.

so has the lack of capitals to start a new paragraph @MNHQ, I get some issues are difficult to fix, but not this. Can you please give some feedback as to when it might be fixed. Thanks.

Type their name in search and it will come up with poster post, but there may be many with the same sort of name.

No, it’s rubbish. I can’t search by poster at all.

im currently trying to find a conversation I was on that’s part of a very long running thread and failing totally even though I’m using several key words.

I had to use Google- username + 'Mumsnet' yesterday to search for a username. I hope it's fixed soon.

I don't know if this is just an app problem.

No wonder people name change regularly if they are followed around like this. I don't care if you need to find a thread, keep it on your "I'm watching" list, or post a word or two and it will be there in "I'm on". Couldn't be simpler.

Other searches, fine but searching by poster is not ok in my book anyway, and I apologise if I offend anyone.

I was checking out a poster's previous posts not for purpose of public troll hunting, but to verify they were lying about their occupation (they're actually unemployed) and having a degree (they don't even have A'Levels), which they were, plus, and more importantly, some stalking they're doing!

I'll pass it onto MNHQ when the search facility is back up properly.
