Deleted threads vanishing with no deletion message

I messaged on a thread yesterday because I thought it was probably going to get zapped and wanted to see the deletion message.

Then I posted on it a couple more times, cos posters were having fun.

Today, it's vanished both from threads I'm on and threads I'm watching, and I'm robbed of the joy of the deletion message. I thought mnhq had sorted this glitch???
And can anyone tell me what the deletion message said?

The thread was Do you adore Princess Diana (or something close to that) and had some gaw-jus cushions linked

don't expect miracles it normally says breaking talk guidelines now.

Just to let you know - you should be seeing deleted threads and their deletion messages. We're aware of the issue and working on a fix.

(I remembered I'd had an email notification cos I got named). I can't click onto it from that email link either

Morning @Rogue1001MNer we've had a look. The thread got a ton of spam reports so we zapped it. Spam posts are usually totally removed from the boards, hence the lack of a deletion message.

It looks like MNers were having fun with the daft cushion spam - so on a less busy day we might have removed the promo link and kept it. We're generally keen to provide descriptive deletion messages but in this case we didn't extend the courtesy to an obvious spammer.

Another two threads on my watch list vanished.

Assume they're deleted, but still no deletion message.

Is this not fixed yet???

I don’t have deleted threads on my “threads I’m on” either. Very annoying.

Hello @Rogue1001MNer and @ShirleyPhallus we’re currently working on this - it’s taking us longer than expected because we’re essentially rebuilding the lot. We’re expecting it to be finished within the next two weeks.

Just to add to our previous post, we do post on threads before we delete them so that anyone currently reading the thread will have some warning that it's going to be removed, but obviously that's no use if you're not online at the time.

We'll update here as soon as we have more news, but in the meantime you're welcome to email us at [email protected] if you want to know what's happened to a particular thread.

while working on the deleted messages, coukd you please sort it so the title of the thread stays there, it's very frustrating not knowing which thread has been deleted, so not to bother trying to find it later on.
