As well as the consent issue I am now getting access denied when either hitting back, trying to access a previously read thread or leaving MN (as in going to a different tab/app on my phone, the MN tab with the thread on is still there just not in the foreground).

Using Ecosia browser on iPhone xr

Me too using safari on iPhone making it unusable on top of continuous cookie permissions

KatyMumsnet · 24/05/2022 17:21

Hi,

Both of these issues are usually caused by problems with cookie history. Did you follow the instructions to delete Mumsnet cookies? Posted again below with instructions specific to Ecosia as well in case the instructions weren't helpful before!

Ecosia

Tap the three-line menu on bottom right of the browser
Go to settings
Click 'data management'
Click 'web site data'
Search 'mumsnet' in filter sites
Select 'mumsnet'
Click clear items

iPhone & iPad

Navigate to your settings
Click on ‘Safari’
Scroll to the bottom and choose ‘Advanced’
Click on ‘Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Swipe left on ‘Mumsnet’ and choose ‘Delete’

@KatyMumsnet therein lies the rub, you can’t highlight/click on mumsnet to then clear data

Hmm that seems to be a problem with Ecosia I'm afraid. You could scroll and find it in the list before filtering and that does seem to work.

The best thing to do is to clear all the website data on the browser but it will mean you're logged out of any other websites you stay logged in on so you might not want to do that.
