Hi all,

We know a lot of you have been experiencing problems with the iOS app lately, with paragraphs bunching up and quoted posts cutting off mid-sentence.

We're sorry this has taken us a while to resolve but we've now released the fix. The latest version of the iOS app has been approved by the App Store and is available to download. All you need to do is go to the App Store and hit the Update button.

Please let us know how you get on - and thanks very much for bearing with us.

Why isn't this posted as a sticky at the top of site stuff instead of hidden away amongst all the complaints?

You also have an issue with PC users.

Some of the advertising fills the screen and whilst it says ‘scroll to see content’, the content scrolls at the same time, obscuring the screen which makes reading a thread hard, typically blocking the OP’s post on each page. It also makes posting a new thread or comment nigh on impossible. I am writing this in Writer hoping I can copy and paste faster than the ad loads.

I have screenshots of what I mean. I can’t post them of course, the ad keeps coming up and blocking me and the only way to get rid is to refresh which loses the post im writing.

Oooh copy n paste worked I can now see sufficient of the input window below the ad, and can add the screenshots.

Amusingly (not) I had a message telling me that I needed to "create an account" to comment on this thread. It won't let me post a picture of the screen grab.

@WiddlinDiddlin they have an issue with PC (or in my case, iMac) users because we are irrelevant to them. Apps and phones are the only things that count.

@DawnMumsnet don't forget about the (m)oldies who are either too prehistoric to want smartphones, or who just don't want a smartphone for whatever reason.
