Dodgy download popups

I just clicked into the thread about corporations appropriating the experience of motherhood (will try to find a link in a moment) and was presented with a pop up asking me if I wanted to download a dodgy sounding file… hit the back button and it closed my browser window.

iphone, safari, iOS 15.4.1.

This is actually an ongoing issue affecting some people on IOS at the moment. It's caused by an issue with ad scripts.

We're investigating but can you place turn popups off? Here is a screenshot showing how. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I did some Googling and cleared my safari history, and that seems to have got rid of it. It was following me onto other websites ad
well so presumably it was on my phone - where it came from I couldn’t say. Thank you for looking into it though!

Just to let you know, it is back this morning. I have turned off pop-ups but this hasn’t helped.
