My Mumsnet at the top of the page is indicating I have one new message. But if I go to my mail there are no new messages.

Strange.

That happened to me as well and I managed to resolve it by going through and re-selecting all my old PMs in turn. It turned out that it had decided that one from about 4 years ago was new ...
