No Deletion Message?

Kinda a TAAT (‘Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours….’) but a thread I had posted on has been zapped. Or, at least is no longer in Threads I’m On / Watching.

Do you not do deletion messages anymore @MNHQ?

I would quite like to know this too actually. It's annoying when they just disappear from 'watching' and you don't know why.

Like the OP, I no longer see deletion messages in either the threads I'm on or the watching lists. I can see them if I go into notifications and click on the thread from there, but otherwise no deletion messages. It is annoying.

I have to click on the thread to see them, it doesn't come up as deleted in the notifications either. But it's the only way just now.

Same here. It hasn't happened until today though. There have been other deletions since the new site launch and they were in my threads I'm on. One from early hours of the morning disappeared completely apart from in notifications.

Same here. Same bonkers thread I think. Went to have my tea and it had gone when I got back, but has just disappeared from TIO with no message.

I'm also having this. This is the thread in question and it's just disappeared from my Watching and I couldn't see in in my Notifications either (which I have to say, isn't a page I've ever been on before). Seeing the deletion message in Watching was a really useful feature, and I'm sure I've seen it since the site change.

There was a thread this morning, clearly a wind up, about moving from London to Manchester. I posted on it and then it vanished. Including from my threads I'm on.

@ImAvingOops I found this in my browser history, now I've looked for it and wondered myself. But it's not in my Watching list where it would have been. And if I'd been viewing the thread on my phone where I don't store browsing data, presumably it would have vanished into the abyss.

@LilyMumsnet is there a plan to bring back deletion messages to I'm Watching? Can't see it on Safari on iPhone or macOS, and I assume a link to I'm Watching is redundant.

@MNHQ is deleting threads at the OPs request part of this new 'upgrade'? Fair enough if a thread is identifying or breaks guidelines, but to delete because the thread doesn't go entirely how the OP wants, isn't fair to all the posters who contributed

@ImAvingOops We do try and push back on deleting entire threads but we're not in the business of making anyone's life harder than it needs to be, so we will delete if all other suggestions fail.

iPhone 12 Pro on iOS 15.4.1. Browser Safari.

I've scrolled to threads last updated on 9th and can't see that thread in Watching on either device. I can get the deletion message by searching the word 'wedding' in my browsing history, but it was much better when it was in watching. Let me know if you need any other info.
