Minor, but … not defaulting to CAPS in the message box

I know this is minor in the grand scheme of things, but ….

am I the only one finding it annoying that I have to press ‘shift’ at the beginning of each sentence to get an upper case letter?

the old site (and pretty much everywhere else on the internet) defaults to CAPS at the beginning of a new sentence.

I have left all the lower cases as they are to demonstrate the issue.

is this something that can be fixed, or are we stuck having to press shift each time….?

Yeah it’s annoying AF. You get used to things working a certain way and these days automatic caps is the norm after full stops or on a new line. Don’t know why MN’s spanking new site can’t manage that bit!

Me too! On iPhone 13, viewing the website on Safari

I too find this annoying , I thought things were meant to be improved and go forwards , not backward with the changes.

I think MN have said that it can't be fixed.

Adding my voice to this thread, its annoying. There's no reason for it to be different to the rest of the Internet.

Auto-capitalisation - am afraid there's bad news on this one - the text editor we're using does not allow this to happen - we've raised it with the provider but it's open-source software and it doesn't look like they're minded to fix it - so we're stuck without this for now although we'll keep looking for solutions - sorry not better news on that one
