Does anyone else keep getting THIS when they are drafting a response to someone's thread?

I hope this works, as I know that the images don't come out very big.

Sometimes when I am halfway through composing a response to someone's thread, I get the 'Mumsnet symbol' with the message 'OOOPS! Sorry you're not able to access Mumsnet.' I have to click in the white space at the side, and quickly click 'preview' to stop it happening again. And THEN I have to copy all of the text, and paste it in again on the same thread on another tab. Or else I'll lose it all! (And that did happen 3 or 4 times!)

So is anyone else getting this, or just me? Thanks folks. Smile

Yes. For about the last hour things ahve been slow and then this, with almost every Post.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 25/04/2022 19:04

Yes!

bellac11 · 25/04/2022 19:08

Yes and then my post duplicated

MurmuratingStarling · 25/04/2022 19:21

Phew not just me then!!! As I said, I have lost everything I typed 3 or 4 times, and then I figured out I could click in the white space and then quickly click 'preview' and it stops it. But I do have to copy all the text and open the thread again in a different tab (and then paste it all back in.) BECAUSE it keeps blimmin' happening! Angry

Also, I have copied someone's post, and I @ them in, and ALL their text disappears, but their name comes up like 30 times...

So instead of (for example,)

I love chocolate too, especially orange flavoured. I also love cheese. Both of these are my Achilles heel when it comes to dieting!!!

My post just duplicated too (on one thread,) and the 'repeat' was 10 minutes later! WTF?

Yes. I haven't really posted since the platform change because of this happening.

jackstini · 25/04/2022 22:47

Mine is just refusing to post anything from my phone - I just keep getting the 'retry or cancel' option but nothing works. Very frustrating

MurmuratingStarling · 25/04/2022 22:47

@Skiptheheartsandflowers

Probably a good idea to write a response to a thread in 'word,' and copy and paste it onto here (if your post is long.) Smile

Yep. This whole thing has been an absolute shambles. I hope those paying premium are being compensated

My samsung phone has been rendered utterly useless for days
Any attempt to post anything more than a few words creates multiple random paragraphs and i mean hundreds of them so cant post
Have had to download the app just to add this - how has this upgrade been so awful!!!!!

CaptainCallisto · 26/04/2022 17:06

I'm not getting that problem, but since the update/re-platform I've found that 9 times out if 10 it will say "success" when I reply to a thread, but the comment won't actually appear. It's driving me up the wall!

CoralPaperweight · 27/04/2022 16:30

If I don't complete writing my response / post in about 3-4 minutes I get the mumsnet blocked page and everything I've written is lost. So I seem to have the capacity to write a sentence in response but not a detailed reply. I'm getting to stage of giving up posting
