Font size still too big for average reader

I understand if you have poor eyesight, dyslexia etc but the average reader doesn't and this is hindering our ability to read threads as quick as we used to. I'm not being unreasonable, I'm being blunt.

For me it’s definitely smaller. iPhone. Safari. That’s not large (see attached)

Yeah surely the font size depends on your own browser settings. It’s a perfectly normal size for me.

bigishbrenda · 22/04/2022 14:38

My browser settings haven't changed.

RampantIvy · 22/04/2022 14:41

You can amend your settings. The font is fine for me.

greenlynx · 22/04/2022 14:43

I think that the font is smaller and it’s also clearly different (iPhone).
I struggle with this new size and shape, haven’t got chance to investigate how to change it yet but clearly if you can increase it you can also decrease it.

gamerchick · 22/04/2022 14:47

Tbh mine hasn't changed, maybe you need to tweak some settings.

bigishbrenda · 22/04/2022 14:50

Mine has changed I'm sure. First picture is what it used to be like (I know it's taken today, but the thread content was like this) second picture what thread content is like.

It’s loads smaller on mine

bigishbrenda · 22/04/2022 14:52

The pictures are also fuzzy @mnhq

And when you reduce the font size, now everything shrinks, leaving even more white space.

Landscape mode it's smaller but readable. With annoying white gaps down the sides.
Portrait is larger and no wasted space

Damnedalways · 22/04/2022 14:55

It's horrible, I've stopped coming on so much as it hurts my eyes so much

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 22/04/2022 18:08

I could adjust my browser settings on my phone but then everything else would be smaller including the tiny numbers to move on to the next page. It's only gone up by one or two points but it is bigger. This is on the mobile site.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 22/04/2022 18:09

And typing a message, the font is smaller than once it's posted.

AchillesPoirot · 22/04/2022 18:10

I'm in an iPhone and it's definitely smaller

And the app has small font too.

User3579 · 22/04/2022 18:13

On an iPhone with font at 100% as always and it seems bigger but it just may be more spaced out. It different and not in a good way. There’s definitely less content in my screen and it takes more scrolling

oviraptor21 · 22/04/2022 18:14

I'm on an Anroid phone using the browser version and the font size is larger and there are more gaps.
It is annoying because of the increased scrolling and as I have a touch of RSI it makes me use it less.

DramaAlpaca · 22/04/2022 18:14

The font size is bigger for me since the relaunch on an Android phone and tablet, and as an older MNer I like it.

OatSprout · 22/04/2022 18:21

I think maybe the gaps between let’s is bigger? Or the font is wider?

something is making it much harder to read.

RampantIvy · 22/04/2022 18:23

I'm using a Galaxy S10 and not having any of these issues.

SoupDragon · 22/04/2022 18:45

I'm not seeing an issue with the font size at all. It doesn't look any bigger than it used to.

bigishbrenda · 22/04/2022 21:00

I feel like they've lowered the reading age essentially.

bigishbrenda · 22/04/2022 21:01

It's AWFUL 😡😡😡😡

SoupDragon · 22/04/2022 22:24

What are you viewing it on?

ShopoholicIn · 22/04/2022 22:35

OP mine is the same. And I don't know why app title threads are bold.
