Update is fine

Amongst all the bug reports, I'd like to say the update is fine and after a day I am mainly used to it.
I use the desktop version, so maybe there are fewer issues with that, but it doesn't seem massively different to me, and if it gives more stability moving forward that can only be a good thing.
(I'm an ex software developer, so showing a bit of solidarity.)

Aw that's nice - thanks for taking the time to post. We are working through the bugs and are confident that once they're sorted we will be in a much better place re stablity as you say as well as security. And we'll be able to develop new features faster too. So hopefully after a period of settling in the user experience will be much improved, which is our aim. Anyway thanks for the support - it's much appreciated

I’m fine with it now too - it’s taken me a while to get used to seeing 759 threads in “threads I’m on” but it’s been fun scrolling back in time to see what bollocks I was talking two years ago etc

Yeah I think it's fine too, and hopefully the bugs will be ironed out.

I'd like to take this opportunity @JustineMumsnet to say I really, really appreciate Mumsnet, I think it's bloody wonderful and a force for good in society, notwithstanding bunfights and daft or aggressive posters. 😂

I came to MN when Adoption UK 'improved' their message boards - i.e. made them completely unusable with gigantic blue speech bubbles everywhere.

I think MN have been very sensible in making minimal changes to look and feel in the port and then they can gradually introduce other changes over time.
