Ads? So irritating!

I’ve only looked briefly but can’t see mention of the ads since the format change. It’s driving me mad to have to keep closing them every few minutes whilst trying to read a thread, often having to wait for a cross to appear before I can even click it away.

Is this a glitch with the new format? Intended and here to stay?

I think its to drive us demented so we pay for premium.

@Omgwasiwrong Would you be able to let me know if you were logged in or logged out when you look that screen grab?

saggyhairyass · 22/04/2022 10:14

I get that too...I was logged in...reported on another thread. DuckDuckGo browser on an Android tablet. And you have to click the off constantly.

@andymumsnet I was logged in, on safari on IPhone 13.

Thanks for looking at it-very frustrating!

It's weird, because the new platform appears to have been designed around smartphone use over, say, laptop use; yet the adverts are by far the most intrusive and draining of functionality on phones.

I'm back on my laptop again to type this, btw.
