New format. Problems for left handers

I use MN on my phone but through a chrome browser.
If I got to "I'm on" it shows me threads I've posted on with an arrow to go to any particular post placed on the right hand side of the post!. Before, you could just click anywhere on the post to go to it. Now you have to click on the rh arrow! This is really counterintuitive for left handers and a pain as your hand has to cross the screen to do it blocking your view.
Why was this thought to be better than clicking anywhere on the post where left handers could ergonomically just click the LHS of it?

I hope some tweaks/adjustments can be made.

I'm right handed and it occurred to me earlier. I don't understand why you can't just click on the post.

Not just left handers, I'm right handed but nearly always hold my phone in my left hand and previously used my left thumb to open a thread, now I have to stretch it awkwardly across the phone to the arrow or use my right hand.
