Search function iffy

Searching threads keeps freezing, not throwing up searches-what is throwing up is each instance of the searched word, every mention, each time within a thread so pointless and takes too long to scroll through each thread before the next post/thread and repeat

Please can you let us know what device and browser you're using to access the site?

I'm also having trouble with the search function, particularly searching within certain dates. Instead of being able to write in the dates, there now seems to be a sliding scale that covers years. So to search within the last couple of days, for example, seems impossible now. Help!

does it only search titles or something?

I am really missing being able to search today and yesterdays threads for a particular phrase
