Dark mode

Just thought I’d ask if mumsnet have added a dark mode to the new site format?. I can’t see any obvious settings to change it but I might be missing it hiding somewhere?. It’s something I’d really appreciate and I’m sure I’ve seen it mentioned here before. Nearly all other apps and site I use have the option now, it’s a shame we don’t have it on here. I actually find myself not coming on here at night when I’d probably read the most because it’s so bright even with my screen brightness down!.

The same here for at least the last week, I select an option but it clears as soon as I press save. Iphone with up to date IOS and Safari.

For anyone having trouble saving changes in order to switch to dark mode, could you try clearing your cache first and then giving it another go? Let us know if that works!

That seems to have worked, thank you

Hi 🙂
We just launched a dark mode view.

If you would like to try it, please go to Settings > Display, and there you will see 3 options:
-Default view - shows light or dark mode depending on your device settings
-Light view - shows the current view
-Dark view - shows the dark colour variant

The settings change will only affect the device you use to make the change. We’d love to hear what you think of it. 😊

Hi, will this be available for the app? As someone who uses the app as I find it easier to read, it's frustrating that many of the updates don't apply. I'm still waiting for the ability to be able to quoted a quoted post

Hi @NippyWoowoo that's definitely the plan, yes. Hopefully won't be too much longer.

Yes clearing cache worked thanks!
