Private messages. Where's the inbox?

Since relaunch, I have a little 1 by the "person" icon. It's just blue.
This usually means a PM (red?) or you've been @ (purple?)
Opening Pm takes me to messages I've sent but there doesn't seem to an option to navigate to inbox.
Using Samsung tablet Chrome browser

I just keep getting told that I can't access mumsnet whenever I try to reply on private messages. Is everyone else the same?
