Sorry for the hassle, i posted a thread on Am i being Unreasonable and i ended up annoying some people unintentionally. I would appretiate it if you would delete it.
Sorry for the trouble,

it might be quicker to go to the thread in question and click on the red exclamation mark on your post, and report it. Think MNHQ respond more quickly that way. HTH

ArmadilloDaMan · 08/01/2008 19:01

click 'hide this thread' at the top of the page (on that thread obvs) and pretend it never happened.

The old head-in-the-sand trick.

2mum · 08/01/2008 19:05

I know but that wont make it go away. I just want it gone now!

i'm afraid you are unlikley to be able to have a whole thread deleted, just the content of your posts on it

2mum · 08/01/2008 19:07

Thank you mumsnet for deleting so speedily, sorry for the trouble

OP posts:
Tutter · 08/01/2008 19:08

oh

Hecate · 08/01/2008 19:08

Well, it was deleted and I'm a little pissed off, tbh!

ScoobyDoo · 08/01/2008 19:09

It can be deleted if the person who started it requests it to be!

DrNortherner · 08/01/2008 19:09

What was it about?

FrannyandZooey · 08/01/2008 19:10

what are you pissed off about Hecate?

DrNortherner · 08/01/2008 19:12

I'm pissed off I missed thread pissing people off taht has now been deleted to avoid pissing more people off

Hecate · 08/01/2008 19:13

No, not with the op! I thought it was a good topic and I wanted to discuss it!

Not the initial thing, but the idea that someone on mn could feel unable to voice their opinion on a subject because they felt - intimidated? Afraid they'd fall out of favour?

Folks should feel free to give their opinion, not feel that if it is not likely to meet with approval they have to sit on their hands.

I think mn could do with a wider range of opinions, everyone claims to think the same way on here and it's getting boring!

FlameNFurter · 08/01/2008 19:13

Arse. Why do I always miss deleted threads?

(obviously before their deletion... Tis inevitable I would miss them once they have already been deleted )

ScoobyDoo · 08/01/2008 19:13

& i'm annoyed because i am not pissed off from the thread that people are pissed off about that someone deleted not to piss more people off

rantinghousewife · 08/01/2008 19:15

Oh Hecate, you're not turning into one of those gum sucking old timers who whine about how much better it was 'back in the day', are you?

Hecate · 08/01/2008 19:16

I am, rantinghousewife, I am.

When I were a lass we used to tell it how it were.....

FlameNFurter · 08/01/2008 19:20

I have only been here a couple of years, and even I have seen the change - I don't remember any whinging about hurt feelings when i started out.

Hecate · 08/01/2008 19:20

Do I have to wear pants that cover my navel and start tucking a hanky up my sleeve?

Will I begin to smell of lavender?

Hecate · 08/01/2008 19:22

It used to be so nice.

I mean, I thought you were a load of old bitches, but we could really really get into an issue.

Now it's more like...

babyworld netmums

12 minutes since my last fart* my inner child is a brat

FlameNFurter · 08/01/2008 19:23

You already smell of lavender... we were just all too polite to say. It might have hurt your feelings

rantinghousewife · 08/01/2008 19:24

Your inner child is ageing my dear, have this nice Tena lady to keep you dry.
