Did anyone else wake up to find their mums net had been hacked by some random Jedi who had managed to post as multiple users on every thread on here ? I've had to log out, delete the app, reinstall and log back in to clear it

No!!! I didn't, how weird.

It really was ! I wasn't sure if they'd hacked the whole of MumsNet or just my account. I assume the latter

Can you tell us any more about where the messages were and what they said? It's possible it was Tech testing out some things for the new platform. We had a similar issue a couple of weeks back and that's what it was.

Let us know anyway. If it IS Darth Maul hacking you after all, we'll see if we can sort it!

@HebeMumsnet It was as I said really. 3.30am Wednesday or Thursday morning, woke up, couldn't get back to sleep, went onto MN and every single thread was random drivel/homilies/references to Darth Vader/Jedis. Lots of different user names but all the same type of postings. It wanted me to log in but wouldn't accept my password, wouldn't send a change password email. In the end I had to log out, delete the app, reinstall and log back in. This was on my phone as I very rarely go on MN on a computer. All fixed now but all very strange

Hi @ginislife unfortunately our app developers managed to release a version of the iOS / iPhone app that was reading one of our test servers (a server that has a bunch of star wars messages on it) instead of the real one. As you found, reinstalling from the app store fixes it as they quickly released a fix.
