Typing box disappearing

HotToddyColdSauvignon · 15/03/2022 09:00

Aaaargh. Keep typing replies to threads, and halfway through typing something, the keyboard disappears and just shunts me back to as if I was viewing the page - meaning I carry on typing, consequently hit the “I’m on” button, or “I’m watching” and I lose all my text and the thread.

Safari, iOS latest update

Yes! its not just me!

I've just given up on a different post as after 4 attempts to type it out I couldn't bring myself to start again a 5th time. every time it disappears I end up clicking a link to somewhere else and losing everything I've written.

Oddly it hasn't happened on this one...

pastabest · 15/03/2022 09:07

Oh and I'm on android. And it just happened again on this one.

Auntieobem · 15/03/2022 09:26

I'm on android and can't access active threads at all.

Okbutnotgreat · 15/03/2022 09:46

Me too! On iPhone, it’s very annoying

On Android and this happened repeatedly to me yesterday on one thread where I genuinely felt my experience could help someone. So frustrating. Had to give up in the end.

This has been happening to me for a while. Android, Chrome. It's ok if I type a message and submit it immediately, but if I try to click in the comment window (either because I want to edit something, or because I have been referring to another window and return to my post) the window just closes. Or rather, it's as if the whole window has become a hyperlink for "switch focus to the next chrome tab" because the window is still open, I just can't click in it.

enseehammer · 16/03/2022 08:14

^ It happened while I was posting that, so I had to start again.

enseehammer · 16/03/2022 08:16

I thought it might be a chrome bug, but it sounds as if people are expetiencing it on other browsers too.
