Can’t login on the app.

Hello, just updated the app and can’t seem to sign back in. Password and everything is fine as I managed to sign on the mobile site. App was fine and no issues before the update. I’ve tried shutting the app off and reopening it as well as entering my login details manually . Nothing seems to work.

I’m on an iphone SE running 15.3.1 IOS which is up to date.

We're aware of some technical issues on the app - we're looking to resolve them as soon as we possibly can. In the meantime, are you able to login to the mobile site? We do apologise for the inconvenience!

Also on the app everything on Active is related to Star Wars. Every single thread regardless of title or topic. What is going on?

I had the same and my password wouldn't work. It was very strange especially with the Star Wars stuff. @LilyMumsnet has there been a breach of security/hack this evening? It spooked me a bit

Back on and everything seems back to normal, but the star wars stuff for every thread was rather eerie. Especially since some of them had pictures attached to posts and everything. Whatever happened took some effort.

Hi all, and thanks for flagging this.
Yes - unfortunately it does look like we're being attacked by Jedi.

There's currently an issue with the latest version of the iOS app that means our automatic test posts are appearing (and yes, they're all Star Wars themed. Sigh) which means that users don't have access to the regular version of Mumsnet.

This will affect all users who have updated to the latest version of the app - many phones are set up to update by default.

We're really sorry but if you're seeing the test posts then you won’t be able to use the app until this issue is fixed.

We've submitted an update to Apple and are waiting for it to be approved - we'll let you know as soon as it's fixed.

The mobile/desktop versions of Mumsnet aren't affected so it might be worth trying to access the site that way for now.

The app should be back to normal now, but do let us know if there are still problems and we'll try to get them sorted.
