Maddening advert... MN please help me stop it

Sorry to moan about this, I did try to send an email directly to MN Towers, but I am so non-geeky that it did not work. Why did it ask for my POP something or other?

Anyway! For the past few days I have had an advert flashing at me and it is driving me mad. It is a German ad, like a roulette wheel spinning. The company is called adRom. It spins and spins and spins and I am starting to spin too.

Can I get rid of it somehow?

Thanks

Have you blocked pop ups in your tool bar? If it says 'popups okay' then click on it and it will block them.

Other than that there are things you can do - dh knows but he's been snoring the past 2 hours so I can't ask him! Maybe ask tomorrow when more people are about.

Thanks fortyplus, but I do have popup blocker.

Any other ideas?

You could try turning off flash, but that would mean that some other sites won't work properly.

Hi there

I'm not sure if there's anything I can do on a Sunday (and indeed if anyone from the company who serves our ads will be around till after the New Year) but if you can let me know who the ad is for I can let them know that it's causing you stress.

Sorry just re read your post and seen that it's a German roulette wheel... that should give them something to go on.

Big apologies that you're having spinning problems.

Thanks for having a look, there is no rush.

It seems to be some kind of online casino.
