accessing the site through different browsers

So a couple of months ago I couldn't access the site through my usual browser. Just wouldn't load past the home page. So I moved to chrome. that worked for a few weeks. Now that has stopped working and I am now on Firefox. I am running out of options. Have been on MN for years and never had this issue before.

Is this because of cookie choices?

I have the same issue yesterday.

Signed in ok yesterday morning and was working as usual. But after lunch when I went back in on Chrome all I get is 'Page unresponsive'.

I've switched to Microsoft Edge to be able to access Mumsnet

I can't access through microsoft edge either. Very strange. I will run out of options soon if this carries on.

Hi, @chestnutSquash. Sorry to hear you're having trouble accessing the site. Can you let us know which device you are using, and which version of the iOS?
Many thanks.

Hi Kim. Laptop, microsoft, windows10.

I have cleared cookies on both sites. I can no longer sign in. I suspect this is a result of not "accepting all" cookies when the pop up appears. It only appears once, so I can't try accepting all to see if it makes a difference.

I've been having issues with this today - accessing on a laptop, freezing in Firefox, my default browser, same in Microsoft Edge - bizarrely absolutely fine in Yahoo?

KatyMumsnet · 07/01/2022 18:06

Hi all,

We've investigated this and we think we have resolved the issue. If you continue to experience issues then please report back.

Thanks for your patience!

Katy

seems fine now, thanks Katy

I can now sign in in chrome.
What was the issue Katy? I would be interested to know.
