These photos are all one thread I’ve just been on. Is this a deliberate choice by MNHQ or accidental? They are all Specsavers ads.

Same. Not as annoying as the threads by companies promoting their wares by pretending to be real posters - I’m looking at you Snug sofas 🙄

The pop up you have to wait seconds for the X to appear so I can get rid of it is especially irritating atm.

Yes that too! It feels like it’s an advert website with the odd MN post dotted around them.

Do you think the advertisers get pissed off with all the posts getting in the way of their ads?

I just spotted this too. It’s really annoying. Can anything be done to change this, MNHQ??

Thanks for letting us know - we can understand you'd rather not have ads mid-post so we're checking to see if this is meant to be happening....

Just been browsing mumsnet this morning at 4am before work. The adverts certainly weren't doing this to me yesterday, but they are now.
Mid post adverts are awful.

Any update on this @FlissMumsnet? I mean this is just ridiculous.

It’s making MN unuseable.

I can cope with ads mid thread but not literally in the middle of someone’s post. I’ve seen a couple this evening that have been a bit unfortunate in terms of their placement. Not sure who thought this would be a good idea, or if it’s a glitch, but please change it back ASAP!

I didn’t even clock what the ad was (ad fail there! ) haven’t been searching up harleys!

Download an ad-blocker. I have Ka-Block! and I never see an advert.

We're so sorry these ads are still cropping up. We're trying to resolve this issue but in the meantime could you all please post some details of the phones/browser that you're using? And are you all using the mobile version of the site rather than the app?

I’ve had a look on the last thread I experienced it and the ads aren’t there in posts now.

I’m using an iPhone SE 2020 on safari mobile site.

I’m still getting the ads in the middle of posts, it seems to be in quoted posts - hoping my picture attaches ok. The advert appears within the quote just before the final speech mark, and I have seen this more than once over the past few days.

(Am using Safari on iPhone)
