Items disappearing and the re-appearing in Watched

I put the ‘To be really dissapointed in my brother’ thread into my Watching list this morning via Safari on my iPad.
This evening the thread had vanished from my Watching list.
I posted in AIBU to ask what had become of it. My thread was nuked as it was allegedly a thread-about-a-thread. Following my rap over the knuckles, the thread has re-appeared in in my Watching list with a note that MN are having a look behind the scenes, fair enough.
In the past, locked threads have always remained in my Watching list, not vanished and then re-appeared. It has not re-appeared in the Watching list on my iPhone which uses the App, however!

I think it changed a while ago. I lost a few like that and had to go searching for them. It's inconsistent across Watching and I'm On!

This thread is missing from 'Last 15 minutes' and 'Last Hour' too.

Thanks @LilyMumsnet, it's also in my Watching list on Laptop (Microsoft Edge) but still not on my phone via the App.
