The huge ads that you can't scroll past

This is a recent thing, but you have massive ads (ok, i get you need income) that you have to try to scroll past, annoying but i can live with it, except that it makes it impossible to read the first post in a thread. What's that about?

Sorry to hear that these ads are causing problems. What happens when you try to scroll past? Does the ad open in a new window or does the screen freeze?

Can you please let us know if you're using the mobile site or the app (iOS or android)? If you're able to grab a screenshot, that would be very helpful too.

When i try to scroll past - normally it fills the screen but if you keep scrolling eventually it gives up and collapses.

But sometimes - i think when the OP is quite long, if you want to go back to the post (eg to use the See All function) you just can't get back to the op because the ad covers the bottom half of the screen and won't scroll down.

It's on my laptop, on my mobile i haven't had problems with ads.
