What's with Anchor?

Are they Anchor-own tips or are the MNer's tips swiped and with names wiped?

If they are AO (Anchor-own) - can we see ours too please? They are normally more amusing.

Whilst we're on it... What makes a tip worthy of going on your list?

My Christmas tip was (I have since discovered) the same as someone else's - but that person has it on the list THREE TIMES and mine is clearly inferior and irrelevant (I seem to recall longwinded too).

If your tip doesn't make the cut, do you still get entered to the comps?

IIRC, the competitions are purely a draw, you are not judges by the quality of your tip.

Am also fond of

at me sitting here actually crying with laughter over the second vaseline one!

I think (though I could be wrong) that MN Towers once put "Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things" on the homepage as a tip from moi.

My fave tip from Behaviour and Development:

HI all, as far as I know we're using Anchor's own tips at the moment - give or take a bit of MNHQ input - because they're sponsoring the slot.

Can we put yours up as well? I can't say for sure, but suspect there's probably not enough room to do so.

What makes a tip worthy? Well, all the tips that you send in are collated into a very, very long list. We then go through them each day and try to select one that a) hasn't been used before/for a while and b) is either informative or just very funny. (Even better if it is both.)

All tips get entered into the comps - no matter how rubbish they are what!
