Mumsnet Annual?

SantaBeClausImWorthIt · 06/12/2007 21:42

I was musing about Christmas charities, MNetters in need and how many annuals there are on sale - and wondered if we could produce our own MN annual?

Sales to provide funds for MN and a 'fighting fund' for MNetters in need each Christmas.

It could include Cod's reviews, Quotes of the Week, MN classics, etc, etc

Am I deluded? Would anyone be prepared to pay for this - even assuming anyone could be arsed to produce it?!

I think an MN book of recipes and tips would be a better seller (ie I'd buy it!), but either way, I think its a good idea...so long as I don't have to produce it! I know NOTHING about such things

SantaBeClausImWorthIt · 06/12/2007 21:48

Could be those things as well!

I have no idea how these things are produced, but sure someone else knows.

Thanks for this, we'll add to list of things to discuss at our next meeting.

SantaBeClausImWorthIt · 06/12/2007 22:38

Oh good - so it's a good idea?!

I'm sure there are probably legal implications where money/funds are concerned, but having been involved with LittleLapin/Soapbox's Christmas efforts, it struck me that something more 'official' could swell the coffers - for MN as well as MNetters.

I have no publishing experience or fundraising experience, but would be prepared to offer my time to help out if this would be of any use.

How about caricatures? Do we have any cartoonists on the board, how do YOU see Cod/Rhubs/VVV/Marina etc

TenLordsaLapin · 06/12/2007 22:39

LOL BIWI, but "we'll add to list of things to discuss at our next meeting" is MNHQ code for "NO" normally

Could be dangerous ground there LL ...!

So it's not a good idea then?

Ooh well, it seemed like a good idea at wine o'clock last night!
