On an iPad you can scroll to the bottom and find the how to.

I'm no expert as only just started posting after lurking for ages but I've found the emoji icon at the bottom of the mumsnet screen doesn't work but if I use the one from my tablet keyboard it works....... Don't know whether that helps/applies to you but if not I'm sure someone more experienced will be along shortly🤔😁👍
