Is the app a bit rubbish or is it me?

I use MN via the app, it can be really difficult to start a new thread in the topic I want (though this one did, surprisingly). I reported a comment on a thread, and the email arrived to say they were looking into it and it had attached to the wrong post. It also doesn't let me post pics with comments. It just seems really glitchy 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is this common? Do I need to do something differently? Using Android on a Samsung

I downloaded it last week and deleted it within 5 minutes. It seems to have less functionality than just using the web browser so it's totally pointless.

Also hate the purple theme and clumsy styling

Its not optimum, no. I also miss that I can't skip to the OP's next post on the app like I can on a browser.

I downloaded and deleted it in the same day. I just hated everything about it and I found it wasn’t as user friendly as the website is. I’m young and generally tech-savy so if I found it awkward to use I imagine others might too?
I also hated the formatting and styling- not a fan of the purple!

Yeah, I’ve downloaded it a couple of times then quickly deleted. It doesn’t have all of the features of the website and it just clunky and annoying to use.

Glad to know it isn't jut me, even the tech savvy are finding it an issue. It's incredibly frustrating that we can't have a nice easy functioning app
