The tip of the day is a bit confusing...not the don't set your house on fire, bit- salient advice, that... but what's the rest about?

so, if setting the house on fire is bad does anyone know what I should do with these matches and the petrol?

Threadworm · 27/11/2007 12:21

Clearly it means you edit your house and publish it, rather than set it on fire. And , even though your house is a tip, save it. Or, if it's too much of a tip, delete it.

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2007 12:22

Oooh can I delete my house?

fryalot · 27/11/2007 12:26

I've put the matches away and have been furiously hitting "delete" but the house (and the tip) appear to be still here. What am I doing wrong?

HuwEdwards · 27/11/2007 12:27

is it secret code?

do we have an infiltrator?

OliviaMumsnet · 27/11/2007 12:28

think this was me fiddling and I'm just trying to fix.

fryalot · 27/11/2007 12:28

s'ok everyone, tis just Olivia fiddling with her tips.

I said TIPS

Rhubarb · 27/11/2007 12:29

I thought it was a great tip and stopped me from setting my own house on fire. I vote it as Best Tip Ever!

It's a good tip. When do you set the decorations on fire though?

Threadworm · 27/11/2007 12:34

So we're no longer being advised not to set our house on fire?

bettythebuilder · 27/11/2007 12:34

Oh, that's better.
Can I put all the damp tea-towels away, now?

OP posts:
OliviaMumsnet · 27/11/2007 12:35

this one cod?

fryalot · 27/11/2007 12:36

tis a bit late, cod.

Where were you fifteen years ago when I needed that advice?
